The Cornell Challenge Course Club, aka "C4," is a student organization founded by a group of Cornell students in 2004 for the purpose of giving students yet more opportunity to use and enjoy Cornell's unique Hoffman Challenge Course.
The objectives of the Cornell Challenge Course club, according to its constitution, are as follows:
- * To have an enjoyable time with fellow members engaged in ropes course activities.
- * To allow more students to experience the ropes course; to let them gain experience and discover the joy of working the ropes course.
- * To learn about ropes courses (IE: equipment, facilitation styles, safety procedures, element strategy).
- * To use the current ropes course (Hoffman Challenge Course) in creative new ways.
- * To explore ropes courses at other locations.
- * To allow those members who happen to be current COE facilitators to experience the ropes course from the participant's point of view and gain facilitating experience.
- * To create new challenges (both idea creation and physical construction) for the course.
- * To foster the leadership experience commonly found within the ropes course environment.
- * Creatively film and/or photograph dynamic ropes course events and challenges.
