Telemark Skiing - SA

Telemark Skiing - SA

"Free the heel and your mind will follow." A cross between downhill and cross country skiing, telemark involves a graceful free heel turn that opens up alpine and steep terrain to lightweight backcountry gear. The course starts with the basics of skiing downhill, including braking and turning, then moves to the tele turn, and finally progresses to linked turns. Instructor to student ratio of 1:4 ensures individual attention and progression. Taught on lift-served slopes. All students will receive a Saturday lift pass for Song Mountain. The course also includes transportation to and from Song Mountain and telemark skiing equipment rental. If you have mastered downhill skiing and are looking for a new challenge this winter then this class is for you. If you have never skied before, please check out our beginning cross country ski classes or beginning downhill skiing (1330) offered at Greek Peak: ATTENDANCE POLICY: Attendance at the first class meeting is required. Active participation in at least 3 out of the four class outings is required to earn a satisfactory grade for the class.
