Cornell Sports School Rock Climbing and Outdoor Adventure Camp (4 one week sessions)

Spend about half of your day at the climbing wall and the other half outdoors on a variety of outdoor adventures with kids ages 8-16.
  1. Monday, July 7- Friday, July 11; 8:30am - 5:30pm
  2. Monday, July 14- Friday, July 18; 8:30am - 5:30pm
  3. Monday, July 21-Friday, July 25; 8:30am - 5:30pm
  4. Monday, July 28 - Friday, August 1; 8:30am - 5:30pm
Required Skills/Training:
  • Proficient Rock Climber
  • Knowledge of and experience implementing COE climbing policies/procedures (at wall, rappel set-up, etc.)
  • Level 1 HCC High and Low Element Facilitator (training is available this spring free of charge)
  • A desire/willingness to work with kids (ages 8-16) and spend many hours at the wall
  • First Aid/CPR
  • 2 Summer Camp Training Days the week of July 1st
  • COE van certification a plus
Benefits:

CAU Juniors Outdoor Adventure Camp (4 camps, each one week, 1/2 day sessions)

Spend your mornings at the challenge course and around the area doing a bunch of fun outdoorsy things.
  1. Monday, July 7- Friday, July 11; 8:00am-12:00pm
  2. Monday, July 14- Friday July 18; 8:00am-12:00pm
  3. Monday, July 21- Friday July 25; 8:00am-12:00pm
  4. Monday, July 28- Friday August 1; 8:00am-12:00pm
Required Skills:
  • Level 1 low and high ropes HCC facilitator (training is available this spring free of charge)
  • rock climbing experience (at a minimum belay certified at Lindseth)
  • a desire/willingness to work with kids (ages 8-12)
  • COE van certification a bonus
  • 2 Full-day Summer Camp Trainings the week of July 1st
  • First Aid/CPR

CAU Teen Outdoor Adventure Camp

(4 camps, each one week, 1/2 day sessions) Spend your mornings at the challenge course and around the area doing a bunch of fun outdoorsy things.

  • Rock climbing experience (at a minimum belay certified at Lindseth)
  • A desire/willingness to work with kids (ages 12-15)
  • Experience with tree climbing and tyrolean traverse a plus
  • COE van certification a bonus
  • 2 Full-day Summer Camp Trainings the week of July 1st
  • First Aid/CPR

COE Summer Tree Program

Monday, June 30th - Thursday, July 3rd; 8:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-5:00pm (2 half day camps, one week, morning and afternoon sessions) 

Tree Climbing Required Skills:

  • a desire/willingness to work with kids (ages 8-16)
  • proficient in recreational tree climbing skills
  • COE van certification a bonus
  • experience working with children in an outdoor setting is a bonus
  • First Aid/CPR

Lansing Camps Contract Instructor (1 week)

Monday, August 4 - Thursday, August 7; Mon-Fri 8:30am-12:00pm 

Required Skills:

  • Proficient Rock Climber

  • A desire/willingness to work with kids (ages 8-18)
  • First Aid/CPR

Summer Climbing Wall Monitor

MWF 5-9pm; Sat/Sun 1-6pm 

Required skills:

  • Rock climbing experience
  • Belay Certified
  • Familiar with the Lindseth Climbing Wall
  • Able to monitor safety of the climbing environment
  • First Aid/CPR
Benefits:
  • Starting wage: $8/hr
  • Free climbing wall pass
