Greek Programs

The Cornell Team & Leadership Center is proud to work with the Greek community to meet their team building and leadership development needs through a variety of specially designed programs, such as:

Greek Leadership Academy This one credit academic offering meets once per week during five weeks of the Fall semester.  Visit the course page for more information.

Go For It- The New Member Challenge This 4 hour workshop will help your new member class bond in engaging and exciting ways. Creating connections, trusting and positive risk taking are all integral parts of the program. Depending on your goals, we will use one or more of the following activity tools: portable initiatives, low challenge course, high challenge course (indoor or outdoor).

Officer Transition: Are You Ready to Roll? Help the new leadership team of your chapter find its way in a hurry! This 4 hour workshop will jump start your process of getting to know each other's leadership styles while working on problem solving and team development. With fun and engaging activities, your officers will walk away with a set of working agreements specific to your chapter. This will help your executive team to better work together. This workshop can take place indoors or out, using either the low challenge course or portable initiatives, depending on the weather.

Your Brother/Sisterhood, Your Values, Your Event! Do you have a creative idea of your own? Work with trained COE staff to develop an event customized for your chapter. Organize an event that will teach the core principles and values of your chapter. Check out some of our ideas that might interest your organization: * Ice Climbing Local Frozen Waterfalls * Winter Snowshoeing on the Finger Lakes Trail * Rappelling off Schoellkopf Stadium * Design and Build Floating Rafts in the Helen Newman Pool * Midnight Rock Climbing at the Lindseth Climbing Wall

Hear What Greeks Are Saying About Us:

“The ropes course definitely exceeded my expectations because it helped us learn more about our team and ways to improve individually and collectively. This really happened during debriefing which made us learn about our strengths and weaknesses.” -- Pi Beta Phi 10/17/10 “Working as a team allowed us to learn more about ourselves and take roles that we would not normally do!” -- Lambda Pi Chi 3/05/10 “ This was one of the most organic bonding experiences I've had with my pledge brothers.” --Theta Delta Chi 4/04/10
