1,000 Islands Sea Kayaking - Fall Break

1,000 Islands Sea Kayaking - Fall Break

(TO SIGN UP email, as the student center is generating errors.) Journey to a place of unique beauty just three hours north of Ithaca. A different country (Canada) and a different world, one that is perfect to explore from the cockpit of a sea kayak. Rich wildlife, granite cliffs and hundreds of rocky and forested islands, all after the hordes of summer tourists have departed. We start with basics in the Helen Newman Pool before moving on a lake and finally the St. Lawrence Seaway. Learn paddling, navigation, safety, natural history, and camping skills. ATTENDANCE POLICY: Students must participate in all scheduled class meetings in their entirety in order to earn a satisfactory grade for this class.
