Multi-Element Courses

Can't decide which course to take? ...well then try a multi-element course, and sample the best of a few different outdoor pursuits. Designed to whet your appetite, and fulfill your quest for fun, our multi-element courses pack the essential information into each activity, so that you can pursue the sport more on your own, or take a follow-up intermediate level course.

AVAILABLE FOR SPRING 2015 :

High Adventure
Start Date - Fri Mar 20
Rock climbing, rappelling, traversing a gorge on rope, tree climbing, a ride on a 400 foot long zipline - every session has a new adventure for you. Activities are designed to teach you rope work and safety in addition to teamwork, communication, and leadership skills. This multiple-element course goes to Ithaca?s most popular vertical playgrounds: the Lindseth Climbing Wall and the Hoffman Challenge Course. Graduates will be belay certified.

Outdoor Adventure
Start Date - Fri Apr 10
Having trouble deciding what outdoor class to try? Outdoor Adventure does a little of it all! Classes will spend a day canoeing, a day rockclimbing, a day hiking trip, and then tops it all off overnight backpacking trip. No experience is necessary.

Adirondack Canoe Camping Section 1
Start Date - Sat Sep 26
Experience the Adirondacks at their finest during Fall Break. Encounter first hand what makes this place so spectacular: magnificent mountain landscapes scattered with changing fall colors, numerous lakes and waterways to paddle, starry skies to camp out under and the call of loons as they echo across the lakes. Your instructors will teach you the skills you will need to have an enjoyable canoe camping experience including paddling technique, portaging (carrying boats & gear between lakes), navigation, backcountry cooking, and various other canoe camping skills.
